Quote from IsaacPrice :The chicane isn't a challenging corner to be fast in, its just about keeping your concentration not to crash there. But seeing as I havent crashed in the fast right in sector 2, or rolled at FE4 even as long ago as GTAL, or don't usually make silly mistakes when I'm leading races/not racing someone so without trying to be arrogant, its not like its something I would be worried about personally more than others.

That is just bonus addition, but it feels freaking awesome when you nail it with 200+ kmh thru there. Basically, every tricky fast corner has only one line and that's why the corner presents the challenge you had described.

The track itself has 2 other great overtaking opportunities and doesn't necessarily need another one.

Lol @ tomek.

No matter how much RBR is better than Ferrari/McLaren over past 3-4 years, if/when Vettel wins 3 consecutive titles there has to be something to the driver as well, in everyone's mind on this planet then. And then, again he might even win 4 straight champs, I mean goddamn of course he is a great. He's beating Alonso and this year it isn't so much because of the car. Vettel's car died 2 times, whilst Alonso crashed out twice, remember. When did Vettel crash out last time, 2010?
Quote from Mustafur :Hulkenburg still holds less points then Diresta, either way the Str battle has been kept quiet due to the bad car but if you look at the statistics its Showing Riccardo with one of the Dominant Qualifying records on the field compared to his team mate and is Starting to bring consistent points, Hulk has only really started Estalishing himself in the last 6 or so races but there is more to come imo.

Hulk took his time to get to know with the car, with the team and with F1 generally. Ever since he finished that process of his, his level is consistently higher than di Resta's. And he's far better in wet conditions than di Resta.
The move to Sauber has logic to it, as that team has been on podium 4 times whilst Force India hasn't done better than 4th all year long, baring in mind that we'll basically have the same cars next year. For 2014, let's see if he can take Webber's/Massa's seat so that I can favor him over Vettel/Alonso then.

I never rolled. And talk to Jack Basford and see people who actually tried that corner think about it. Goddamn new generation used to the easy peasy slow chicane.

Stewart pls. You had the most dominant car every season you won. That little Tyrrel was in league of it's own. Stewart and his french teammate would just fly away from everyone else, like RBR did last year. All of his championships are won in that team with double more points than other championship contenders or he DNFed most races and didn't win championship by a huge margin again. He came after Clark and battled whoevers when Rint died (who took the title even he was killed in mid season) before Lauda came to scene. So, what he is implying I don't know. I already rate Vettel higher than him even this season hasn't ended. If Vettel wins this title it's hard fought just as 2010 was.

Vettel, I mean I wanted to see him fail and he did in some races, but he is just relentless, proper German till the very end. He beat his rivals in straight fights, he made comebacks, executed wise strategies with the team and is by far the best qualifier of them all, all in this year. All well done to Alonso, but neither luck can be forever on his side, nor Ferrari can seem to stop fakin him up. If I was in Vettel's shoes I wouldn't be looking with glossy eyes at Ferrari from this past 3 years and they say you're only as good as your last race.

The relationship he has with Newey an Newey with him is amazing. I wouldn't be risking that for all matters. Sometimes I build a really nice setup and I find .2 or .3 just like that, then imagine if you've got a cool parts in your car that do that and the setup. Newey hadn't had something of that sort since Mika Hakkinen. Yeah, I'm sorry Iceman fans and DC fans. However, we forget how young Vettel is and how many years of F1 are ahead of him. Being 6 years younger than Alonso means he can go to Ferrari when Alonso retires from F1 if that is something he has to do in his lifetime.

Interestingly, RBR as a car is purposelessly built to be the quickest car in Vettel's hands over the course of the season. The most tracks are new tracks with shorter straights and more direction changes and mid speed corners than the old tracks. That's how the car is now built for 3 years in a row and I don't understand why other teams don't focus on that specific part. I mean what they do is copy something from RedBull when they see that they have to have it. Why not focus on what for RedBull is doing it and you might come up with even better solutions to the problem then.

Quote from xtraction :IIRC its not about just stopping the sand cutting (but that slows you down anyway..) its about making the chicane tighter, simply because its not really a chicane, as it just gets straight lined.

We just call it a chicane, still it doesn't have to be a chicane. It's a really cool left corner and it goes well with the rest of the fast flowing track. It's actually the most challenging corner on the track if in normal formation which demands high perfection, or simplest corner if it's just a chicane. And also a whole lot more interesting tires management situation with that corner being highspeed!

Listen, no need to drag this on any longer. You should have read the last post I made!

So I say yet again Kingsbury, I made a mistake as I forgot there indeed will be another TBO league at start of the next year (or at least should be). So pls take it as a joke when I say u were being an American... I was so very busy with college and still am, so forgive me for misplacing some things around and basing argument on that. Still, none of you had a mention of that league either, so yeah, you were being a little bit American with no reason afterall.

I'm glad we sorted that out and as I said I wish you luck with your league and I don't say that in a sarcastic way. What I said about thinking you're 2nd to WTBOS, I still stand behind that and you guys yourself said you copied them in many things, so it's all roses then, right

Quote from IsaacPrice :AFAIK there is a chance NDR is running a TBO series next year, which rather makes this argument silly.

Alright, I had missed that one. Thanks for pointing out. -.-

Well then, not much to say, good luck with your league LLM, you might have picked the right timing after all.

You're missing the point because some of the LLM members are too American to argue.

The point is, having too much TBO's right now hurts later as I already pointed out and there will be further more to this point later in the post. The reason I hadn't brought this up any time sooner is because I simply thought it wouldn't be as popular and it still isn't among the best teams. I'm just trying to help you learn here for next season, already.

I mean yeah, the rant might be a bit over the top, but you sure brought it on yourself. Just thinking about yourself and your series is never the best thing to do. Then being so American about it, omg PMD how do you even talk to them. Anyway, You have to see where you fit in with the whole leagues system and you obviously still need to realize that.

How in hell do you expect someone to do two TBO leagues that need different setups at the same time, when he wants to race LX and GT1s as well. I might be only one arguing this point, but there are a whole lot more people thinking and going that way and you can find that out if you check where they race and how they race etc. They might be a bit more cba to argue than me, so I just might seem alone in here. Besides, it doesn't matter how many people argue the point if point is correct it will always be correct or if it is invalid it will always be invalid. So, please LLM, facts in the argument, not personal feelings and whining back at me.

There can't be too much TBO, and my suggestion isn't hurting in a way to say we would get bored of tbo racing. It's with different tires, different setups, different tracks, different styles of racing in race length and all that, so it fits in perfectly to have one series after another if you would just open you eyes a little bit and realize that there are a number of other leagues that we're about to be running and two TBO leagues atm is suicide for the moment and for LFS leagues after the moment, haha. Goddamn Americanzoar pumping up my pressure, so I talk rude and fire my fact lazors at you.

Quote from Bmxtwins :Hi, our schedule was announced first, and was added to the calendar already. WTBOS had an announcement in May that the schedule would come soon, and on top of this their events usually get cancelled anyways, but never announced it until the 23rd of August, while ours was fully releasedon August 16th.

So ask Cornys, not us.

They announced which months it will take part, so cut the attitude. As I stated already, that league was and still is leading TBO league, for other events of theirs I wasn't talking about and you can't stuff WTBOS with that.

@Dennis: I made my choice, I'm just surprised at this whole ignorance of this leagues administration. They could have had much more attractive races with little bit more reasoning.

@PMD: lolno ;p
Warning: It's a rant

I didn't want to discuss this in nFinity thread, even though it's the one that sparked these thoughts, so I'll give a question in here as it seems appropriate. And my point of view on it.

Why are your holding TBO league in the same period of the year when leading TBO league, World TBO Championship Series is holding its events for 2nd year running in this period? It was obvious they were going to hold the events in this part of the year, especially because they posted their schedule before you guys and now the competition is a little bit split between the two.

Please don't rant on me it's all so very different because of the tire rules. There are differences and I know that, but there are similarities as well.

It absolutely makes no sense to have two leagues of basically the same type of racing attending to hold events at the same level at the same time, when there is so very much time around the rest of the year.

We now have this two TBO leagues from September to end of the year and then it's all dry for next 8 months, 8 months! That's a freaking long time, you know.

I know this period of the year is prime period to hold events, no doubt about that. But, they were here first and they're having stronger pack than you. Also, from January to April is just as prime period to hold events and that would have been my choice if I was in your place.
